We are looking for a senior design professional with a track record of building and shipping successful consumer digital products. The ideal candidate will bring the design expertise and discipline to understanding users' needs, creating new solutions and solving problems focused on how customers and team members engage with our products. Responsibilities
* Stewarding design and product thinking into a system of design patterns which provide durable design solutions beyond the next deliverable
* Lead the design of all products across the Gatik portfolio requiring 3D design capabilities
* Work closely with fellow UI/UX designers, user researchers, and product managers to create a holistic product that satisfies customer needs
* Deliver polished UX deliverables, including wire frames, user journeys, high fidelity prototypes, etc.
* Run collaborative user research efforts to gather feedback from our customers and users Work with multiple engineering teams to implement the designs you create
* Lead brainstorming sessions with internal stakeholders and external customers
* Ability to lead major design initiatives with little guidance
Qualifications
* You are passionate about solving hard problems most haven't faced before
* 5-8 years of hands on experience in an in house design team or consulting/design agency
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Product Design, UX Design, Interactive Media, Human Computer Interaction or similar
* Experience with planning large workstreams, meeting measurable goals and deadlines
* Strong experience in all stages of the design process, from early strategy and ideation, wireframes and prototypes, to the final implementation of UI design.
* Strong cross-platform design experience, particularly for connected device products, or tools people use in their day-to-day jobs
* Experience working within a cross functional product team alongside product managers, ux researchers, engineers etc. in a fast-paced agile environment (i.e. software company, startup, etc.)
* Past experience or interest in either map based navigation, logistics & delivery management or 3D UI Game Design.
* Experience conducting user testing, and iterating on design
* The ability to be flexible and inventive, using non-traditional approaches and techniques to design, given our product space
* Experience with industry standard design tools, such as Figma, Zeroheight, 3D software such as C4D/Redshift/Keyshot, Sketch, Zeplin, Framer and the Adobe Creative Suite.
Bonus Points
* Experience with designing 3D environments and/or interfaces
* Experience designing for physical spaces and how people interact with them
* Experience with any sort of programming (i.e. JS/CSS)
* Experience working in the autonomous vehicle, robotics, or automotive industries
