Tentmaker Holding, Inc. aka “Gatsby Glass of West Saint Louis” is seeking a dynamic sales leader as we launch our tempered glass business. We are passionate about property owners, home owners and landlords, and seek to be a trusted partner as they transform their bathrooms into beautiful spaces with our glass. As our sales representative you help guide clients through dreaming, designing, and scheduling delivery of their beautiful new glass. With those responsibilities come
- Anticipated first year total compensation (including commission): $80,000-100,000
- Compensation includes base pay plus uncapped commission, commission guaranteed for the first 3 months
- Quarterly bonuses based on company profitability
- Expected start date: March 2024

Job Description:
As a sales representative at Gatsby Glass, you will be responsible for selling glass, metal framework and hardware products and installation services to commercial and residential owners in your territory. As a rep, you will help build the client list, sales revenue and back the company on standards, quality, and professionalism. A successful sales rep will have creative lead-generating techniques and the drive to exceed sales goals. You will use your strong communication and selling skills to present innovative solutions to prospective customers.
Responsibilities:
- Provides reliable, high quality customer support.
- Performs customer instruction on various glass components and functionality.
- Organizes and utilizes technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks.
- Monitors and ensures the progress and completion of assigned tasks.
- Completes and submits all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
- Must have a strong work ethic.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must complete other projects, as assigned.
- Meet work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
- Monitor and review all work orders to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Maintain constant communication between all departments on current work orders.
- Ensure customer needs are met in a timely manner.
- Manage and maintain daily reporting.
- Answering new and existing customers' phone calls while following sales processes.
- Relationship building, networking, cold calling, canvasing, and meeting with prospective clients when needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have one or more years of experience in customer service/commercial sales.
- Must have a working knowledge of CRM programs.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Very detail oriented, organized, and can keep efficient notes and records
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including and understanding of basic grammar and writing.
- High energy, positive attitude, and forward thinking.
- Strong team player and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Meet or exceed sales goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Requires 100 % proficiency in product offerings.
- Must be able to demonstrate willingness to be flexible and adapt to change.
- Ability to follow policy and procedures.
- Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict and make effective decisions under pressure.
- Strong working knowledge of common computer software including but not limited to: MS Outlook, word, excel, CRM
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- Sit for long periods of time
- Walk in the field knocking on doors and engaging with business owners.
- Assist other team members as needed with installation activities
- Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work a full-time, flexible schedule with “on call availability” and must be able to travel on short notice. Must be able to drive a commercial motor vehicle (day) for extended time periods.
