We are ready to add an Inside Sales Manager to our team, supporting our General Automation Business supporting our Seacoast and Rail/Electric Transit business.
In this role, you will manage an inside sales team of experts focused on supporting accounts and business opportunities nationally. You will also partner with sales leadership to develop new business, as well as retain and grow business.
This role can be hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days home) based in our Huntingdon Valley, PA office and occasional travel to our Leominster, MA office.

What you’ll do
- Develop and manage a centralized inside sales team, supporting new business development (team of 7).
- Drive team to achieve national revenue goals.
- Provide mentoring, coaching, skills development, and continuous performance management for all direct reports; manage bonus plans for all team members.
- Train sales team on wire and cable products and services to Pleasure Boat, Battery, Industrial Steel, and Rail/Electric Transit businesses including opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.
- Develop sales metrics to assess productivity and determine areas for future growth.
- Own and manage CRM and forecasting for inside sales team; promote efficient and accurate use of CRM and other tools.
- Help create, develop, and close sales opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with leadership and colleagues to anticipate and support customers’ needs.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, using support material describing products or services.
- Demonstrate and champion GCG’s capabilities, services, and products.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with key vendors and other external partners.
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field
- 5 years’ experience managing inside sales team
- Proven track record of people development and sales results
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Exceptional time management, organization, and execution capabilities
- Strong working knowledge of CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous experience in manufacturing/distribution (preferred), wire and cable a plus.
