What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Engineer position at GCS?
Job Description
This is a Product Engineering Operations role focused on commercial products supporting LTE backup.
The candidate will work on Cradle point devices, net cloud manager etc on daily basis.
Perform maintenance and service activities.
Roll-out scheduled overnight maintenance activities.
Document, Report and Debug activation issues.
Perform Functional regression testing.
Interface with vendor for firmware, bugs, etc.
Interact with cell carriers for activation, deactivation, etc.
Requirement:
Cradle point Certification and experience.
General networking knowledge especially with switching, cellular routing, WIFI etc.
CPE public vs private APM
CCNA or CCNP networking certifications
Nice to have
Strong WAN technology especially like WAN, SD-WAN, DOCSIS etc.
Boot file configuration and Scripting experience with Linux, Unix or Python
Familiarity with Cellular Carrier SIM management platforms (i.e. T-Mobile netcracker)
Good understanding of 5G cellular technology
- Engineers will interact with support team in NE, Central and West divisions and need to be eloquent at times and advise how to support
