Job Description Summary
The Reliability Specialist supports the plant reliability improvement program through condition monitoring and precision maintenance to ensure optimal plant equipment operation. The position requires analyzing and reporting the health of rotating process equipment to proactively identify component, equipment, and system issues and recommend corrective actions. This role interacts with other reliability team members, site operations, maintenance, and engineering to identify and resolve equipment related issues.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis of plant wide vibration data received through normal route-based collection and local/remote wireless monitoring of site assets, to include data review from various platforms including Emerson (CSI), wireless systems, as well as other on-line systems
- Perform lubrication tasks on rotating equipment using best practice reliability technologies such as ultrasound or vibration.
- Perform data collection through route-based activities based on asset type and criticality
- Conduct field diagnostics and troubleshooting of rotating equipment
- Collaborate with other work groups including maintenance, operations, and engineering to help develop proactive path forward for equipment issues.
- Participate in Root Cause Failure Analyses, MOC and shares knowledge with operations from learning events
- Build capabilities regarding existing or new equipment monitoring technologies
- Generate quality equipment repair notifications as needed in Maximo (CMMS).
- Assist in precision maintenance repairs as necessary including laser alignment techniques.
Minimum Qualifications
- Eight (8) or more years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Three (3) or more years’ experience with vibration, data collection, and troubleshooting rotating equipment. Familiar with industry recognized PdM best practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to 12 (twelve) hours a day.
- Willing and able to work any shift, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Must be able and willing to work safely, and adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including wearing and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
