Roles and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will :
Be responsible for managing information technology for a manufacturing plant, including all IT infrastructure & software applications necessary for shop operations. As the Site IT leader, you will be responsible for performance & availability of IT infrastructure & applications as well as partner with the business enabling process transformation.
Set IT strategy & roadmap to drive digital improvements across the site.
Influence SPB employees and below on their decisions.
Perform as part of the Shop leadership team representing information technology.
Partner with the business to participate in lean/ process improvement initiatives & enable business transformation leveraging digital tools.
Lead in the evaluation / implementation/ modification of various software solutions, including ERP, MES & Analytics solutions.
Work with central digital product teams to resolve systemic recurring issues or enhancement needs.
Direct a local team of digital resources.
Drive strategic digital initiatives.
Initiate and coordinate outsourced supplier efforts
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum 6 years of experience.
Desired Characteristics:
Technical Expertise:
- Hands-on experience in 24x7x365 technical operations
- Experienced in design, performance, availability and scalability of the infrastructure
- Demonstrated understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles (e.g., Green belt certified)
- Experience on ERP platforms like SAP will be an added advantage.
Business Acumen:
- Knowledge of Services - MRO domain.
- Knowledge of business and financial principles and practices
- Demonstrated ability to manage team/product operations within own budget
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects based on business strategies and customer requirements
- Demonstrated customer focus – manages technical issues in complex, difficult, or stressful situations; evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint
- Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts
Leadership:
- Experience providing feedback on performance toward goals
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing team members
- Ability to proactively identify and remove obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team
- Ability to take ownership of projects and deliver while mentoring and helping team
- Demonstrated experience influencing across a complex, global matrix organization
