Job Description Summary
The Commercial Hardware Systems owner manages the connectivity between the engine supply chain, engineering, and program offices for both NPI and legacy engine platforms. This position is responsible for managing prioritization calls for most important projects across all value streams that support the engine platform.Job Description
In this role you will:
- Provide system level leadership ensuring alignment of project priorities for NPI and legacy commercial engines.
- Serve as focal point for hardware escalation needs across product line to include involvement in highly complex field issues impacting the product line
- Own cost roll ups and LOS (line of sight) , working closely with supply chain delivery and finance product line teams
- Serve as program manager focal point for significant multi-hardware product changes
- Mange multiple priorities, align resources, and drive escalation for top needs of the product lines
Key metrics and deliverables:
- Delivery to engine cost LOS targets
- Assure critical hardware transitions support product line targets in items of fleet stability, OTD (on-time delivery), quality, and cost
Desired characteristics - working knowledge of:
- Engine technical / hardware knowledge & supply chain operations
- Project management
- Leading a cross-matrix team
- LEAN / continuous improvement processes
