Role Summary:
The Global Operations Excellence Leader is a key leadership role that will enable shops in the Aero Alliance to strive towards the Brilliant Factory Concept. The GOEL leader will utilize their business leadership experience to drive & influence the shops leadership/stakeholders towards Shop Lean & operational excellenceEssential Responsibilities:
As the Global Operations Excellence Leader you will:- Drive all aspects of
standardization and shop operations improvements, working with all of the Aero Repair Shops to
drive the Aviation standard and support ongoing improvement actions. This person will need to
manage multiple interfaces and be able to deliver in a very challenging
environment - Standardize ways of working across all shops
- Standardize reporting
including Incoming, Inspection and Final reports - Drive simplified Shop Routings and
digitize where possible - Standardize and simplify shops operating mechanisms including
PCC and CC - Drive development of key IT solutions
- Work with the shops to
implement operational best practices across all gates - Define, prioritize, direct & track
progress on the Brilliant factory activities… e.g. 5 S, layout and flow across all of the
shops - Create and own the operating mechanisms for the Operations team
- Work
with the Lean team to help define strategy for becoming more mature in lean concepts &
digital by utilizing the Fastworks mentality - Work with key functional leaders across the
network to drive an aligned continuous improvement culture
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university or relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing Operations, EHS, quality, materials
& financials aspects of the business
Desired Characteristics:
- Capability and experience to work with local and remote resources, merging people from
different locations as needed to close complex projects in due time - Experience with
maintaining cross functional risk management processes. - Proven track record of delivery
in a challenging role - Six Sigma training
- Ability to lead, coach, mentor and work
effectively across functions whilst leading in a matrix environment. - Proven Business
leadership experience - Ability to lead, coach & mentor employees across the various
businesses at all levels - Exposure to financial measurements and accounting principles in
a manufacturing environment - Strong team player with high energy
- Knowledgeable
of Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP) - Knowledge of Lean manufacturing
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership
skills - A drive and desire to succeed
