Job Description Summary
The Systems Engineering Validation team is responsible for planning and execution of critical field-testing efforts to deliver certification and design understand to the engineering segment. The team requires a wide range of disciples and focus areas from prototype field operations and instrumentation to modeling and complex data analysis. The Senior Validation Engineers role focuses on the activities that contribute to the design and development of products, quality solutions and overall component understanding. The desire and ability to own and execute critical testing and data analyst to support product development is required for this position. We are seeking an experienced candidate who can progress forward the processes and test execution approaches for Systems Validation.Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Power performance testing, evaluation and reporting
- Testing of electrical components, consumptions, 3-phase power systems and grid code related topics
- Manage test programs to ensure the successful execution of the validation plan,
- Ability to maintain clear status and communication to testing stakeholders.
- Conduct data analysis and/or testing results for internal stakeholders for use in DVR’s, RCA’s, or FMEA assessments.
- Lead Validation Engineer (Acoustic & Dynamics)
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar Engineering disciplines from an accredited university/college.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Engineering Field of work.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time to support Field Testing.
Desired Characteristics
- A strong problem-solving skillset.
- Ability and willingness to work in a field environment, climb wind turbines as needed to meet test needs.
- Advanced Degree in Engineering or Similar field of study.
- Hands on experience with electrical systems testing.
- Experience with Medium voltage design.
- Experience with Wind Technology, Power Generation, or Relevant Heavy Industrial Technologies.
- Desire to drive product understanding and improvements during early life cycle development.
- Experience in using IMC FAMOS or MATLAB analysis software, or other data analysis tools.
