Role Summary/Purpose
This role is responsible for executing strategic sourcing activities across all aspects of GE Vernova’s Travel Category Management spend with the goal to achieve significant initial cost reductions and year-over-year continuous improvement while maintaining or improving supplier quality and service levels. The role provides support in building a team of best-in-class talent and fostering an environment of strong collaboration and engagement. This role will establish relationships by building trust with internal and external stakeholders and developing and executing strategies to meet business outcomes. This role is responsible for Supplier Management and Performance Monitoring related to Travel category spend to include Air & Hotel Programs. This person should establish and lead strategic sourcing activities in this category to include category strategy and MSA ownership. This role will require coordination with the Business Unit Category Management teams to ensure a cohesive global strategy, coordinating sourcing efforts and policy, and executing initiatives. Partnerships with GE functional stakeholders in Business and Segment Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive total cost efficiency (TCE) are critical to enable the team to deliver excellent service levels to the organization.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies within the assigned spend category to include Air & Hotel Programs
- Build and own the relationship with assigned suppliers within the assigned spend category to include Travel Management Companies (TMCs), Online Booking Tool, and Airline & Hotels providers
- Manage corporate sourcing process end-to-end, including hedging strategy and trigger points within the assigned spend category
- Partner with the TMC supplier consulting team on tactical sourcing activities aligned to deliver category strategy and negotiated rates to GE Vernova travelers
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, Compliance, and other business partners to align Travel offerings in accordance with the GE Vernova travel policy
- Drive benchmarking, best practices, and continuous improvement
- Lead and manage multi-functional stakeholder teams on specific strategic sourcing initiatives or projects to ensure benefit realization and drive value through supplier relationship management within the assigned spend category
- Lead development of best-in-class analytics specifically related to the assigned spend category
- Complete GE Vernova’s overall separation activities, including ramping down GE’s legacy travel ecosystem and supporting a successful exit for GE Healthcare, GE Aerospace, and GE Vernova
Qualifications/Requirements
- Significant experience in Sourcing, Operations, or equivalent experience within the assigned spend category
- Demonstrated ability in leading organizational, process, and culture change
- Strong experience within the assigned spend category
- For roles not in USA, this role requires significant experience comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience), or equivalent experience/ knowledge
- For roles in USA, this role requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with significant experience in job family group/function), or equivalent experience/ knowledge

The salary range for this position is 101,300.00 - 168,800.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a 15% variable incentive bonus.
