Roles and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine the company's overall strategic vision and long-term goals.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of industry trends, competitive landscape, and macroeconomic factors to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.
- Assist in formulating actionable strategies to drive revenue growth, optimize operations, and enhance the company's market position.
- Monitor the implementation of strategic initiatives, track performance metrics, and provide regular progress reports to stakeholders.
Adjacency Market Analysis:
- Identify and evaluate potential new markets or business segments that align with the company's core competencies and growth objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to assess the feasibility and attractiveness of expanding into adjacent markets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop market entry strategies and go-to-market plans for new business opportunities.
Acquisition Analysis:
- Conduct detailed analysis and due diligence on potential acquisition targets to assess their strategic fit, financial health, and growth potential.
- Create financial models and valuation assessments to support investment decisions and negotiation strategies.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to the executive team.
Performance Tracking and Forecasting:
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and market trends to assess the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and adjust plans accordingly.
- Work closely with finance and operations teams to develop financial forecasts and scenario analyses to aid strategic decision-making.
- Continuously analyze industry developments, competitor activities, and emerging trends to proactively identify new opportunities or challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus with at least 6 years experience in Product Management or Strategy functions.
Desired Characteristics
- Proven experience in strategic planning, market analysis, and/or merger and acquisition activities, ideally in the Industrial Software market.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
- Excellent research abilities with the capability to gather, synthesize, and interpret complex data from various sources.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to present findings and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to think critically, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- High level of adaptability, creativity, and problem-solving skills to tackle business challenges and seize opportunities.
