Geegah is a fast-growing, high-tech start up in Ithaca, NY. We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter, who is passionate about working in a fast-paced, challanging environment supporting a very busy team. The ideal candidate would assess and prioritize tasks on a day-to-day basis.
Geegah, for this position, is offering a starting wage of $25.00 per hour. The number of hours would vary between 20-30 per week. This position comes with medical benefits and the company contributes $500 per month toward it.

Description of Tasks & Responsibilities
- Check phone messages and direct to the correct team member
- Create Purchase Orders in a database (training provided)
- Able to research business market: Collect and summarize for the executive team and create powerpoint presentations.
- Create powerpoint presentations as directed by the executive team
- Call customers, vendors, and other business stake holders
- Email messages as directed by the executive team
- Order parts and supplies from the vendors identified by the company
- Should be able to drive to stores to pick up supplies or food
- Organize office inventory (both lab and general office)
- Report to the Chief Financial officer (CFO) for daily and long-term activities
Must-have skills and attributes:
- Microsoft Office-Work, Excel, Powerpoint
- Great communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a tightly knit small team
- Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision
- Estimate the time required to complete a task
- Ability to research and summarize (Under the supervision of Geegah CFO)
- Good writing skills
- Ability and proficiency toward learning databases (how to use for the comapny)
Additionally, the Research and Development Scientist/Engineer must:
- Work well with others and contribute positively to team morale
- Take direction from the CFO
Eligibility: Being authorized to work in the U.S. for at least 3 years is a precondition of employment. Geegah will not fund work permits and/or visas for this position.
Physical Requirements: The position requires the ability to perform tasks efficiently; should be able to drive. Good driving record.
Work Environment: Geegah employees work in a mixed office / laboratory / small-production environment, where all employees maintain a safe, clean, orderly workspace and all contribute to a positive, encouraging environment.
