Salary: $22.34 hourly / $45,015.10 annually

We have an exciting opportunity available to work on our Facilities team as a Maintenance Technician. As a Maintenance Technician, you will operate, maintain, and repair building equipment. Responsibilities include minor plumbing repairs, providing check-ups for preventative and general maintenance, maintaining clean, uncluttered machinery rooms and workshops, and painting equipment as necessary.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must wear and utilize personal protective equipment as required.
- Must be willing to perform in indoor and outdoor environments, subject to adverse weather conditions and noise.
- Must be willing to work in areas covered by brush and trees or in trenches and where footing is poor, and the ground is uneven or wet.
- Must be able to work on and around mechanized equipment and be alert and abide by safety precautions.
- Must be willing to work on ladders, structures and equipment.
- Must be willing to work with energized conductors and equipment rated from low to medium voltages.
- Must be willing to learn HVAC systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
- With or without accommodation perform the essential functions as described above; which may include, but are not limited to: seeing, hearing, typing, speaking, bending, reaching and standing.
- The work requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Materials, equipment, etc. will be lifted to and from trucks, equipment, warehouse shelves and the ground.
- Work activities involve combinations of walking, kneeling, climbing, pulling, bending, lifting, carrying and standing for extended periods.
- The work requires the ability to climb ladders up to 30 feet and structures and lifts up to 45 feet; to climb on, off and around trucks, scaffolds and other equipment.
- The work requires the ability to operate tools, equipment, vehicles and machinery.
- The work requires the ability to work in limited light; and to differentiate colors.
- The work requires the ability to answer questions and communicate with coworkers, customers and others in person, via email, telephones and mobile radios.
- The work requires the ability to see and hear in order to detect problems and ensure the safety of employees and others.
EQUIPMENT AND VEHICLES:
- Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record according to company policy and a valid state driver's license.
- The job may require driving and operating vehicles such as an automobile, pickup truck, van, ATV, aerial man-lift and forklift. The forklift and man-lift operation require prior certification.
- The job requires the operation of test equipment for meters and may require fault location and other electrical equipment.
- The job requires the use of computers and calculators.
- Future work practices may necessitate the use of different equipment, vehicles and tools.
