We are looking for a highly motivated and driven leader to join our team. As the Research & Development II Manager, you will, manage the preparation of statistical exhibits used for analyses and supporting different business departments including Underwriting, Claims, Marketing and Advertising to achieve business goals.
You will develop, recommend, and implement product development strategies for assigned products. Manage and create new models, reports and data pulls. Lead and coordinate projects that require involvement from multiple functional departments within GEICO.
You will be responsible for managing the activities of Research & Development Analysts.
Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
Must be able to multi-task
Must be able to learn and apply large amounts of technical and procedural information
Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
PhD or Master's degree preferred. CPCU pursuit strongly encouraged.
Minimum Of 2 Years Management Experience Strongly Preferred.
Must have the following education and experience:
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operation Research or related quantitative and analytics fields.
Minimum of 9 years of analytical experience if Bachelor's degree held.
Minimum of 7 years of analytical experience if Master's degree held.
SAS SQL knowledge
Cloud database knowledge.
Proficient to R (Python will be a plus)
Proficient in Excel v-look-up, pivot tables, charts and graphing
Ability to analyze data using statistical, mathematical or data mining methods.
Knowledge of insurance rating products and principles
Knowledge of Claims, Underwriting, Marketing or Agent
Experience in process control and project management.
