Sourcing Manager (Remote)

GEICO's Procurement is seeking an experiencedSourcing Manager to establish effective governance and execution of GEICO's strategic sourcing strategy. We are seeking a candidate with experience leading stakeholder engagements while leading strategic sourcing engagements across a wide range of business lines including Professional Services, HR Services, Marketing Services as well as Tech.

The Sourcing Manager will be an expert practitioner in the tools and processes for creating competitive sourcing environments with a strong bias for decision-making rooted in data and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of sourcing processes, tools, and training to drive sourcing best practices and consistency
• Development of strategic sourcing initiatives through the introduction of a competitive marketplace, demand management, and supplier consolidation
• Category expertise to identify cost drivers/trends to create procurement strategies across the category
• Own the full strategic sourcing cycle, including supplier identification and selection, price negotiation, contract negotiations, and executive stakeholder engagements
• Management of competitive bid processes including RFP's, RFI's, RFQ's
• Lead and drive the planning and management of a pipeline of strategic sourcing projects

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
• Strong project management, problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
• Proven track record of identifying and implementing improvements to sourcing processes
• Experience running sourcing events across multiple industry categories, including professional services and Tech engagements
• Experience with gathering and ensuring customer requirements are met during the sourcing process across multiple business lines
• Experience communicating with senior management and responding to their inquiries and requests
• Excellent communication and time management skills; able to communicate issues and solutions to diverse audiences
• Provide problem-solving and innovative ideas to support internal customers
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate with vendors to more effectively position GEICO to receive the best value proposals for the corporation

Preferred Qualifications

• 4-year degree with Finance, Business Administration, or Supplier Management major
• Experience with a large service provider
• Experience with contract management systems
