Job Summary:
The OE Principal for Diagnosis and Planning serves to look at the big picture of site performance and guide improvement activities across the enterprise. They Architects infrastructure, deploys capabilities, coaches and sustains Lean Production System (LPS) and mindsets to drive a cultural transformation, builds Capability in Operational Excellence through both teaching and coaching behaviors (e.g. Lean Six Sigma), leads Focused Improvement projects, and is able to diagnose, analyze and make recommendations for improvement. The principal is seen as the top Lean Six Sigma expert and coaches/mentors the rest of the OE team to improve
Key Responsibilities:
Takes active leadership of lean deployment, lean thinking mindsets and improved maturity
Leads focused improvement and optimization projects/initiatives covering Safety, Quality, Delivery, Engagement and Cost (SQDEC).
Designs, recommends and conducts training in continuous improvement methodologies (such as Kata, A3 thinking, and structured problem solving) and coaches others in the application of these methods.
Facilitates/assists business process management and the teams supporting continuous improvement
Challenges all site functions/areas in problem solving and continuous improvement
Drives business process management and helps to ensure sites have installed and are effectively practicing business processes
Effectively partner with management to understand root causes for gaps and identify potential issues between existing and desired business and/or performance results and recommend best plans for resolutions that will contribute to closing identified gaps.
Collaborative Leadership – Ability to influence with or without authority, facilitate groups with diverse perspectives, bring teams to consensus/alignment. Looks ahead to predict future customer needs. Manages expectations. Viewed as a leader and expert in OE across the entire plant
Create an environment of strong team spirit, timely and effective communications, sense of urgency, high motivation and inspire team to achieve goals in the immediate and longer term.
Lead network meetings/forums as appropriate

Ability to adjust working schedule beyond normal 8am-5pm 8x5 work week to support 24x7 operations
