MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN/SCHEDULER - DAYS
Increased Wages and New Hire Bonus. New hires will receive a bonus of $2,000 after reaching 90 days of employment with an additional bonus of $1,000 after reaching 180 days of employment.
Starting range of pay is $30.00 depending on experience.
The Maintenance Technician / Scheduler is responsible for Trouble shoots and repairs all production and support equipment involving all multi-craft skills, to repair and eliminate causes for breakdowns. Also plans and coordinates maintenance activities including but not limited to work orders, compliance, and general department support
Duties and responsibilities
- Design and implement cost savings ideas, machinery improvements and cycle time improvements
- Ensure that all paperwork is completed and turned in daily (work orders, PMs, logbooks, etc.)
- Report the machine repair completion to the production team leader / shift supervisor
- Work on projects such as root cause analysis, minimizing recurring problems, and increasing OEE
- Pass all information on the status of operating machinery to the relieving shift
- Keep all maintenance supervisors informed of all repair status of production equipment along with communicating any problems to the maintenance team leader
- Help with maintenance shop parts inventory
- Train all maintenance associates the aspects of trouble shooting and repair of all equipment in the plant
- Will be a working associate and a leader of specific shift assigned. Ensure that there is production floor coverage always
- New associate training and equipment layout. Along with the maintenance procedures related to PMs, work orders, logbooks, crib stock, etc.
- Ensures protection of the environment with all jobs that may have an impact on it. Completes all required documentation that maintains our SPCC Plan (Spill, Prevention, Countermeasure and Controls)
- Understands how maintenance activities impact the system
- Report on problems that have the potential or are causing nonconformance's to the system
- Assist in corrective/preventive actions to problems affecting the system
- Plan maintenance department activities and personnel to include planning of work schedule, evaluate and improve personnel effectiveness, provide parts and resource planning.
- Prioritize work orders, plan, and write work orders generated from PMs.
- Maintain and update Maintenance Work Order database.
- General maintenance and production support, including answering phones, clerical support.
- Develop and maintain critical spare parts inventory working with crib personnel. Update and maintain part descriptions.
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications
- Diploma/GED related technical experience preferred
- Knowledge of hydraulics including ability to understand complex hydraulic schematics, proportional valve operation and trouble shooting
- Strong knowledge of three phase industrial electricity: Advanced electrical meter functions, NEC requirements
- CNC machining equipment knowledge (Fanuc controls preferred)
- VFD controllers and setup
- Welding experience
- 1-3 years of manufacturing environment with knowledge CMM programming
- Rigging and equipment installation experience
- Must have related on the job experience.
- Demonstrated dependability, responsibility, and flexibility
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English
Working conditions and environment
Extensive exposure to foundry/manufacturing environment with exposure to high noise, heat, hazards of moving equipment, and molten metal. Use of protective equipment to protect eyes, feet, ears, and potential burn areas.
Normal equipment used
Hand tools, power tools, mills, lathes, presses, benders, saws, computers, and electronic diagnostic equipment. Also, man lift, lift truck, pumps, etc.
