Overview
The successful candidate will report to the Director of Naval Architecture and Structures and will supplement Managers and their staffs. This job has primary responsibilities that include monitoring, evaluating, troubleshooting and reporting Electric Boat business system data to assist management in improving organizational performance, resource planning, quality and communication of metrics. Responsibilities will include the following:
- Compile Director Metrics
- Analyze cost and schedule metrics to assist in problem resolution for the Directorate
- Directorate overhead budget coordination and spending analysis
- Manpower and staffing analysis across Directorate/departments
- Directorate website and SharePoint site maintenance
- Coordinate directorate Automated Manpower System (AMPS) reviews and manpower plan adjustments
- FTQ data collection, analysis and auditing
- TPQ metric and TPQ directorate report compilation
- CIAD reporting for the Directorate
- DLS/TLS/Critiques closeout reporting
- Work with program office to assist CAMS with funding/workload issues
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, finance, business or High School diploma/GED with 2 yrs related experience
- Demonstrated advanced Microsoft Excel skills: ability to create, analyze and graph metrics and budgets (including pivot table creation).
- Understanding of resource-based scheduling and planning tools.
Preferred:
- Advanced Degree in engineering, finance, business or equivalent
- Experience with Electric Boat business system and performance monitoring tools.
- 5 years of experience in trend identification, data visualization, and metric creation.
Skills
This job requires a candidate to be interested and enthusiastic in organizational performance, and be capable of developing and analyzing metrics to monitor and improve performance.
- Ability to solve problems and perform root cause analysis.
- Ability to learn and utilize new data storage platforms (i.e. Power BI).
- Must be well-organized and capable of handling multiple assignments at the same time.
