The Regional Support IT Manager acts as the assistant to the Regional Support Service Manager, manages the assigned regional staff, and coordinates plans and status with the other core services. The IT Manager is also responsible corporately for assisting the Regional Leads with business development ideas within each remote operation region.
The successful candidate will be customer oriented, experienced at supporting Department of Defense (DoD) personnel. Routine tasks include:
- Provide production system status to the government representatives
- Attend Morning Production Status meeting to report system status
- Proactively and actively monitor all systems to ensure they are up and operational
- Develop a strong network of Regional Customer Support Personnel, and ESC personnel who are able to identify, diagnose, and correct production system issues.
- Coordinate efforts between production system and external vendors to resolve production system problems
- Assign tasks to shift leads and shift personnel
- Ensure shifts follows PSOC and ESC processes and procedures
- Provide ops status to ESC management
- Attend and support customer and factory meetings as required
- Ensure all install/upgrade problem and reporting responsibilities are followed during production system upgrades.
- Ensure PSOC staff follow priority 1 & 2 incident status and reporting responsibilities
- Provide orientation for new PSOC staff on shift, including badges, accounts, and other items needed to perform their tasks
- Perform personnel actions as required
- Coordinate PSOC staff to receive training on production systems
- Ensure training of PSOC staff allows for Remote Resolution and Diagnosis of Incidents affecting Productions Systems.
- Oversee PSC SA’s maintenance activities on PSOC monitoring servers
- Flow down ESC management directives as well as information on enterprise RSR upgrades to PSOC staff
- Coordinate staff coverage and scheduling
- Coordinate the delivery of new monitoring tool upgrades with appropriate Government customer program office
- Designated authority to request site leads to create new PSOC staff accounts and other requests
- Review shift turnover checklists, PSOC processes and procedures
- Provide input to the PSOC webpage design and content
- Gather information for and conduct bi-weekly staff meetings
- Gather information for and conduct weekly leads meetings
- Provide off-hours on-call support
- Work daily adhoc tasks to support the PSOC mission
- Participate in the development of WAGs/ROMs/ECPs and white papers
- Coordinate with various Government customer projects (i.e., NIES, GeoScout, etc.), operational production managers, and development Program Offices concerning future PS baseline changes and/or ConOps changes.
Requirements:
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 8+ years of experience
- In Depth knowledge of NGL Imagery Libraries, IEC software and hardware, WALA and NIES systems, production system workflow, Government customer domain knowledge
- Must have technical experience in order to effectively speak to production/technical issues when required.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills; be able to handle multiple tasking.
- Must be able to work in a matrixed organizational structure.
Desired Skills/Requirements:
- Master’s degree and 10+ years relevant work experience or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Must be familiar with our Government customers’ organizational structure.
