Job Posting for Scientific Project Manager at General Dynamics Information Technology
GDIT manages the scientific grant review of biomedical research for a federal government agency. We are currently seeking a Scientific Project Manager for our Frederick, MD office. This person will be working side-by-side with a project manager to manage the grant review process for individual programs, specifically focusing on the scientific/technical aspects to ensure a fair and thorough review of each application by subject matter experts and the integrity of the entire review process. Candidates must be a US Citizen and be approved by the client.
Duties:
Serves as the primary point of contact with the client program managers. Manages client expectations.
Communicates program goals and established processes to the project team. Supervises scientific review officers (SROs) assigned to individual review panels.
Guides and oversees SROs throughout the review process, including reviewer recruitment, meeting facilitation and summary statement writing.
Develops and presents reviewer trainings.
Performs quality control of the scientific contents of client deliverables.
Required:
PhD, MD or equivalent and 3-6 years working experience in biomedical sciences.
