What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Manager position at General Informatics?
As the Billing Manager, you will play a critical role in the finance department by overseeing the billing process end-to-end, ensuring all invoices are accurate and sent out to customers on time, thereby securing revenue for the organization. You will work closely with our sales, service delivery, and finance teams to ensure seamless billing operations and excellent customer satisfaction. Also, you will be managing and leading the billing team, and setting billing policies that comply with our financial and legal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely client invoicing, meeting company and client requirements
- Work with Finance Team leadership to develop and implement billing processes and procedures to optimize efficiency and reduce errors
- Collaborate with the financial system integration lead for better system utilization, automated processes, and determine further system needs.
- Coordinate and communicate with sales and service delivery teams to ensure accurate billing
- Ensure compliance with financial and legal regulations
- Monitor revenue streams and identify any discrepancies
- Analyze and resolve billing discrepancies and customer complaints
- Develop and provide regular reporting and analytics on billing performance and revenue growth to Finance Team leadership
- Supervise billing staff and providing them with guidance and training
- Performing account audits to ensure compliance and accuracy
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience in billing or management, preferably in the IT or MSP industry
- General understanding of billing processes, regulations, revenue recognition, and financial operations
- Analytical, problem-solving, organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Ability to manage and lead a team
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and billing software (e.g., ConnectWise, Intacct)
