Job Description Wentzville General Assembly Maintenance is looking for a Tooling Lead who will take the Team to World Class levels, where others will strive to emulate. We are looking for a Leader who will embrace the high paced environment, who will strive for high rewards building the world’s best Trucks and Vans. This role will lead the Tooling Team through proactive, routine, and urgent breakdown activities all the while adhering to GMS requirements and being customer focused. Responsibilities of this position include: Align with the terms of local and national labor agreements Implement divisional and corporate policies Accountable for use of personnel, material and equipment Participate in the selection of new employees Coach, develop and evaluate employees Customer Focused; work to Operator satisfaction across all shifts Establish course of action to accomplish completion of the job and/or project Lead technical guidance for sophisticated and unusual plant operations or projects Champion development of budgets and forecasts; including annual NPP / GPR submissions & execution Acquires a deep knowledge and drive implementation of GMS principles; including Basket Weave participation Develop a proactive safety culture by engaging team members and peers in our safety processes; support / coordinate equipment buyoffs. Review weekend / shutdown planning and assign workforce as required Distribute email to Assembly Maintenance and Engineering team and host meeting to discuss upcoming weekend work and major projects Support line operations when required (major breakdowns, GL/SL coverage) Process all upcoming preventative maintenance items through MAXIMO Plan for Change Lead for Tooling (Productivity, Station re-arrangements, Product Changes, Model Year changes, PCP/TEB updates, etc.) Ensure all parts are available and ready for weekend/opportunistic work Review breakdowns with Group Leaders, Maintenance Associates, and engineering to develop action plans - debrief Time and Attendance: update Overtime Equalization tracking sheet, update Leave of Absence tracking sheet, vacation planning, post and review Overtime Offerings Signup Sheet Schedule compliance training for hourly and salary employees Perform General Duties as Requested by Shift Leader/Area Manager Interface with VS for new work implementation and decommissioning of obsolete equipment Conduit for Production TIP initiatives; connect with Maintenance TIP Manage 3rd party contractors as required Additional Job Description Qualifications: Technical/Engineering degree preferred Experienced in Torque Tools & Tooling set up Three years of Maintenance experience or program execution Problem Solving/Continuous Improvement Labor Relations Training Experience in plant floor systems Sound knowledge of SAP Experience in Engineering Change processes: TWO/EWO/PCP/TEB/PFMEA etc. Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Ability to work in a rotating three shift environment.
