Explore our global locations Job Description This is a hybrid position within the Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) organization and does not require you to be on-site full time to perform more effectively. General Motors’ Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) group unlocks a new level of potential by further integrating our vehicles with their digital world. SDV has created Ultifi, a new vehicle intelligence platform, designed to unlock new vehicle experiences. With Ultifi, we will connect with customers through software-defined features, apps and services via Over-the-Air (OTA). The new platform works by separating key software from the hardware to simplify the OTA process, enabling us to provide more robust updates and cloud-services to our customers. We’re looking for a UX/UI Data Analytics Designer to help bring this vision to life through cutting-edge research and software development, innovation, testing, and engineering. We want those who are bold, innovative, and ready to redefine the way the world moves. You will have the opportunity to work with a rich and rapidly growing data set, design insights and experiments to help our internal customers understand all aspects of our Ultifi system and how it performs in the field. You will work collaboratively with engineers and data professionals to ideate and execute data driven insights for Ultifi. You’ll play a critical role in creating useful data analytic products to support the continuous improvement of the Ultifi ecosystem. Responsibilities: Ideate with key stakeholders and teammates to identify and prioritize opportunities to support business goals Create and iterate on user experience artifacts, including wireframes and mockups to maximize impact of data analytic insights Facilitate human-centered design workshops with key stakeholders Conduct ethnographic interviews and surveys to help ensure we are solving the right problem Help development teams test current and upcoming solutions through an experimentationl framework Collaborate with team members through Scrum/Agile Additional Job Description Basic Qualifications: 3 years of experience working with data visualization artifacts Experience with Adobe XD, Figma, or similar wireframing tool Work history / examples of leading human-centered design workshops and surveys Ability to design useful solutions given customer needs and technical constraints Thrives with ambiguity Preferred Qualifications: Familiar with major automotive vehicle systems Experience with A/B experimentation frameworks Degree in Human-Centered Design field Experience with Agile About GM Our vision is a world with Zero Crashes, Zero Emissions and Zero Congestion and we embrace the responsibility to lead the change that will make our world better, safer and more equitable for all.
