About the Role:
As an eCommerce Strategy Lead, Customer Promise you will work with the newly formed eCommerce Line of Business and will help define GM's strategy for eCommerce and create a world-class shopping experience that bridges the gap between physical and digital retail. This role will inspire the organization to think differently and innovate. You will be key in establishing and executing best-in-class practices for building a fast-growing eCommerce business to deliver online retail experiences in new and exciting ways, defining the product vision, and evangelizing that vision within the broader organization. You will be tasked with assessing a wide range of opportunities and issues - from broad to situational - and providing thought leadership on customer and issue insights, along with their optimal respective solutions. Candidates should demonstrate a progressive track record with a proven ability to solve problems, collaborate and influence across functions, effectively prioritize in an unstructured environment, and always think customer first. The ideal candidate will have a background in eCommerce, retail operations and/or fulfillment. Additionally, the ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced team environment, is data driven and results-oriented, and is inspired to drive strategic decision making and innovation to create a truly frictionless post-order eCommerce experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the development and execution of a robust eCommerce post-order strategy, factoring in industry trends, best practices, competitive strengths/weaknesses, governing policies and regulations
- Identify new eCommerce market opportunities, models, and solution gaps; articulate business value and outcomes and build strategies around market requirements
- Collaborate with Brand, Category and Product teams to develop vision and strategy for consumer experiences balancing business needs with technological capabilities
- Leverage eCommerce principles, analytics, and general business expertise to identify opportunities to improve purchase frequency, on-time delivery, return rates, cancel rates, and customer satisfaction
- Synthesize and present findings and recommendations often to senior leadership and organizational stakeholders as necessary
Additional Job Description
Required Qualifications
- BA / BS in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Marketing, or related fields
- 5 years related experience in eCommerce, Retail Operations, Strategy, or related field
- Experience collaborating with multiple levels of stakeholders across a variety of functions
- Highly motivated, a self-starter and curious, demonstrating an aptitude for problem solving and ability to quickly learn and add value
- Strong presentation and communication skills and ability to tailor communication style, frequency, and approach for multiple audiences
- Solid analytical skills with demonstrated ability to transform data into actionable insights
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree / M.B.A.
- Expertise in fulfillment, customer support and/or physical retail
- Demonstrated knowledge of Design Thinking, Agile Development, Customer Journey Mapping, metrics and data and analytics tools
