What are the responsibilities and job description for the Janitorial 2nd shift position at General Technologies, Inc.?
This position requires performing heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
Daily responsibilities also include cleaning around Machines and notifying management of any repairs needed.
Responsibilities (Include but are not limited to) :
- Clean Facility- Kitchen, restrooms, supervisor's offices and production floor
- Stock supplies in kitchen and restrooms
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming water from machines
- Replace soaked sand from oil spills
- Gather and empty trash and dispose of trash or waste materials
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees
- Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems
- Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
- Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment
- Clean stair rails
- Reports to shift supervisor
Requirements :
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) is a plus
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Must be able to perform physical activities the entire shift
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have your own reliable transportation
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be flexible and able to work extended shifts and / or weekends
Schedule :
Monday - Friday, 2 : 45pm-11 : 15pm (May have to work extended hours and / or weekends as needed)
Compensation :
$11.00 / hour $1.00 / hour incentive
Physical Demands :
While performing the duties of the job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls;
reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.
- The employee must be able to lift and / or move up to 30 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Some duties may be removed at any time and new duties may be added as GTI continues to grow.
