What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Technician - 2nd Shift position at General Truck Sales?
We are currently seeking a 2nd Shift Diesel Technician to join our growing team! We are looking for someone with a strong background in diesel truck repair, and a great work ethic. This individual will be responsible for servicing and repairing heavy duty and medium duty trucks within our state-of-the art dealership facility! Essential Duties:
- Perform work as listed on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
- Diagnose cause of malfunctions and perform repair.
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
- Note additional repair work needed.
- Participate in necessary manufacturer or dealership training courses.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Tech School preferred.
- 1 years working as a service technician
- Ability to perform diagnoses and repairs of most vehicle components
- Work well with others
- Related experiences might include Fleet Mechanic, Automotive Mechanic, Trailer Chassis Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Master Mechanic, Medium Duty Mechanic
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to pass background check, MVR, & drug screen required
