G&W is looking for an exceptional, high-energy and collaborative Project Manager to join our ERP implementation team. Reporting to the VP of Finance and Business Transformation, this contracted role will be part of a cross functional team responsible for designing and delivering a transformational ERP implementation with an emphasis on best-in-class business practices leveraging process automation, technology, change management and controls.
This role requires a unique individual who possesses the experience, knowledge, leadership, communication skills, and passion to support the ERP implementation successfully. This individual will help organize a range of activities from planning and program execution to standardization and automation; all with a goal of enhancing finance and accounting processes that drive measurable efficiency gains throughout the organization. This role will be highly visible across the company working with senior executives and business/functional leaders as well as with IT teams on digital innovation. Strong interpersonal skills alongside technical expertise will be essential in a role that is cross-functional and will help drive wholesale organizational change.
This is a temporary position for 18 - 24 months in duration.
Responsibilities for Project Manager
- Define and communicate project scope and objectives
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Assist with budget preparation based on scope of work and resource requirements
- Track project costs in order to meet budget
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
- Monitor progress and coordinate adjustments as needed
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
- Mentor team members and advise on project governance best practices
- Assist with communication strategy development and execution
Qualifications for Project Manager
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field
- 10 years of project management and related experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively
- Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
- Experience managing one or more ERP project implementations [required? Also would we want to specify D365 implementation]
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
- Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
