What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at Genesis Facility Services?
My client is a well-established facilities services company in the Bay Area. They have a reputation built on strong customer service and customer relationships and treat their employees with that same respect.
They are looking for a Controller to work out of their San Mateo headquarters. This position will report directly to the CFO. This is a newly added position and will manage a small accounting team.
As the Controller you will also own:
· Preparing budgets
· Preparing and filing quarterly and annual reports
· Monitoring and providing guidance on the financial performance of the company
· Managing financial controls
· Providing guidance on pricing decisions, pricing structure/formulas and costing
· Recommending benchmarks to monitor the company’s performance
· Overseeing all external audit and reporting requirements
What you bring to the client:
· 3 years in a similar role
· A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent mix of education and experience
· CPA or CMA designation is preferred
· Quickbooks experience is required
· Experience in a service-based industry is a plus
· Ability and track record of sharing ideas to improve existing processes, procedures and policies – you speak up when needed!
