Position Highlights Prepares and administers routine and PRN medications to patients as prescribed by the physician and documents administration per Genesis policies Maintains medication supply, cleans and restocks medicine carts and medicine room. Notifies pharmacy of new medication orders and refill. Performs accurate vital sign monitoring when indicated by drug therapy Maintains current knowledge of medications and investigates unknown medications before administration

Qualifications: Completion of a state-approved medicine course with a passing grade is required. Completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant program is required. Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant with one year of experience in nursing. Must attend a minimum of 16 hours continuing education programs provided by the center in order to maintain certification.
