W2 Hourly Pay rate range for DFW: $50-65/hr DOE; Adjusted accordingly for Portland area
Responsibilities:
- As a member of the IT Solutions Team, the Business Systems Analyst facilitates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of on-going enterprise-wide programs.
- Under limited supervision, the Business Systems Analyst performs analysis and makes recommendations in areas that require a moderate to high level of technical competency.
- Leads small to medium projects (or assists on larger projects) to ensure applications meet user requirements by:
o Gathering information from users; developing technical requirements, architecture, and design deliverables
o Continuously working with users to negotiate technical solutions against business requirements.
o Effectively communicate and define technology considerations within the context of business requirements to a business audience. - Conducts interviews and facilitates requirements gathering, process analysis and application design sessions with project stakeholders including internal IT partners and business partners.
- Performs and documents analysis of existing business rules, processes, and systems to recommend process and system enhancements to improve business performance and maximize the effectiveness of available technology.
- Assists with application development to meet business requirements by analyzing business needs and coding, testing, debugging and documenting programs and systems in alignment with department standards and practices.
- Recommends and documents application roadmaps to support strategic growth, including interrelated and data dependent applications, and future business needs.
Performs routine audits of systems and software to ensure the highest level of performance and capabilities. Identifies problems and recommends solutions. - Partners with business and IT teams to determine estimates on resources and timing to meet business needs and communicates to appropriate stakeholders.
- Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university; at least 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with IT project management skills is desired: defining objectives, creating timelines, scheduling, and planning project resources, documenting processes, monitoring, and evaluating project status.
- Ability to coordinate users & technical staff across multiple departments/locations as well as coordination of 3rd party project responsibilities.
- Ability to diagnose and solve problems. Uses logic to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; probes all different sources for answers; can see hidden problems; is excellent at analysis; looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the face value answers.
- Ability to learn quickly when encountering new problems; a relentless and versatile learner; open to change; analyzes both successes and failures for improvements; experiments and will try anything to find solutions; enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks; quickly grasps the essence and the underlying structure of anything.
- Ability to initiate, challenge, and recommend for an ideal or position; pursues everything with initiative, energy, drive, and a need to bring efforts to closure.
- HVACR industry experience is a plus
- Experience on modernazation applications to the Cloud is a plus
