Job Description:
- This person would oversee the entire IT program as it relates to construction of a new campus/building, projects managers under the program for individual workstreams, and an IT sponsor that they partner with to ensure IT is performing their activities.
- Program Management experience and skills in the oversite and use of strategy as it pertains to all inter-related projects within a collective program.
- Ability to work with On-site operations and construction teams to facilitate and coordinate activities needed to ensure success of the IT initiatives
- Working knowledge of IT Infrastructure setup and needs- coupled with installation and coordination experience
- Ability to plan and read Construction Drawings/CAD plans- with an IT technical viewpoint to ensure a solid plan of execution- while organizing and maintaining success IT projects within the program.
- Project Management experience in Infrastructure, Architecture, Security, New Construction, SAP or other related ERP
- An excellent Plant/Program Manager must be well-versed in both IT Project Methodology with a Basic understanding of construction methodologies and procedures.
- An ideal candidate would be able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results.
- Seeking a professional that will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills.
Experience in the following areas:
- Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
- Determine needed resources (Client, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
- Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
- Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
- Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
Skills in the following areas:
- Proven experience as IT/ construction project/Program manager
- In-depth understanding of IT and construction procedures and material and project management principles
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Familiarity with construction/ project management software
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- A team player with leadership abilities
- BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field
- PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
- Hourly W2 pay rate $85.00 - $90.00
- We have access to additional contract, contract-to-hire, and direct hire positions with various rate ranges.
