Genesis10 is seeking a Contract Test Manager Zeta Project for a 12month contract position with a consumer finance lender firm located in the NY Metro Area. This role is remote.

Summary:
- The Data Analytics, Technology and Digital Products (DTD) Test Manager role at our client is responsible for the effective and successful execution of all testing requirements for the Zeta project.
- The project goal is to implement an alternate card/issuer processor for our client to ultimately replace the current legacy platform.
- The project will be implemented in phases starting with a pilot launch.
- The Testing Manager is a consultant to the cross-functional test teams to guide and ensure the development of comprehensive and effective test cases.
- The successful candidate is confident, well organized, effectively communicates test plans and progress with all project stakeholders and manages and escalates all testing risks and issues to prompt closure.
- The ideal candidate must demonstrate proficiency in preparation of quality assessments, test progress and defect status to support launch go/no-go decision based on reports and metrics.
- This position is responsible for managing the full testing lifecycle of the project to ensure a successful launch/deployment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the test scope and delivery for all Zeta work streams.
- Work closely with geographically dispersed technology teams and multiple business stakeholders to ensure required outcomes are achieved.
- Define and implement the overall test approach.
- Apply different estimating methods to estimate timescales and effort for the testing phases.
- Responsible for producing the overall test delivery plan and defining the business test deliverable milestones, test tasks and activities whilst determining whether automation tools can be utilized.
- Identify slippage and develop strategies to recover and will own and resolve issues around the technical solution delivered into the business test environment.
- Ensure that all test phases have appropriate entry / exit criteria and for monitoring achievement of these criteria and for obtaining sign-off against these prior to Go Live.
- Implement a well-structured approach to test defect management and incident reporting.
- Monitor and report the status and progress of each test phase to different stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 8-10 years of test management background with a proven history of success.
- Prior experience in consumer banking or credit card servicing preferred.
- Experience of having designed and implemented test frameworks on large scale programs and enhancing existing test processes.
- A strong understanding of test management processes, design techniques, and best practice.
- Experience in planning and leading entire testing lifecycle.
Professional Skills
- Experience directing project teams to complete required testing tasks and activities.
- Proven track record and ability to manage Test Strategy and Planning.
- Processes strong analytical and problem-solving skills and can apply them to complex situations.
- Excels in negotiation skills with internal delivery teams or vendors to manage test execution.
- Self-confidence in holding investment owners and project teams responsible to testing commitments.
Test Management Skills
- Experience developing and implementing detailed test plans and/or test scripts to ensure traceability to detailed user requirements.
- Mastery of industry-based testing tools and demonstrated ability to adapt to enterprise tools.
- Ability to develop and manage project testing milestones, provide feedback on progress, and highlight constraints.
- Maintain timely and accurate test progress status reporting to all key stakeholders.
- Experience in Use Case oversight.
- Experience in managing Defect Tracking and Resolution.
- Proven ability to execute end-to-end testing in complex, multi-system environments and aligned to multiple delivery methodologies (e.g., Waterfall and Agile) including the full defect management lifecycle.
Business Skills
- Solid communication skills in written and oral form.
- Experience working in the Financial Services industry preferred.
- Self-driven and motivated with ability to be productive without significant supervision.
- Proven ability to act as team leader and effective team member.
- Ability to work effectively remotely or on premise as required.
