Physician Breast Surgery

Breast Surgeon Needed in Naples, Florida! Do your life’s best work! PURPOSE: Breast Surgeon will diagnose and treat patients with breast disease including surgical and medical management, evaluate and manage benign and malignant disease of the breast. Coordinate care with referring physicians and collaborate with other providers. The breast surgeon will manage patient care, oversee treatment, identify associated risks and provide quality care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Job Duties and Responsibilities: · Examining patients and making diagnoses to determine the need for surgery. · Reviewing patients’ medical history and planning the best procedure for treatment. · Evaluating and advising patients on the risk involved with having surgery. · Provide an explanation of medical procedures and care plans to patients and their families. · Review test results with patients and families to report findings and identify any abnormalities. · Following established surgical techniques during surgery. · Overseeing all treatments prior to and post-surgery, and identifying associated risks. · Coordinating follow-up visits with patients and monitoring their health condition after surgery or treatment Education and/or Experience: Doctor of Medicine degree Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery Fellowship Training in Breast Surgery or Surgical Oncology Current state medical license in good standing; ability to obtain medical license in state of practice. Active clinical participation with a multidisciplinary breast cancer tumor board/conference An absolute commitment and passion for providing the highest quality, evidence-based and compassionate patient-centered breast care. Ability to interact, educate and respectfully work with local leaders and stakeholders with an interest in community-based programs centered on breast health/care. Personal and medical professionalism and the ability to engage with all parties respectfully and thoughtfully, towards a successful resolution to any issues & problems at hand. Preferred Qualifications: 2 years’ experience post-fellowship in a clinical practice, with >50% of their practice dedicated to the care of patients with benign breast disease and breast cancer. Demonstrated evidence of career growth & leadership with a passion and desire grow breast program.
