What are the responsibilities and job description for the Agile Project Manager position at Genesys?
The Genesys Cloud Platform Engagement organization provides core platform functionality for Genesys Cloud contact center solution. Our team provides authentication, authorization, platform APIs, Developer Engagement, Notification channels, and several other core pieces.
The Agile Project Manager will be responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and motivating agile project teams. You will be responsible for managing several concurrent high visibility projects using agile methods in a fast-paced environment that often crosses multiple teams.
Major Responsibilities/Activities
- Project Planning: project status updates through regular stand-ups and reports.
- Developer Support: remove roadblocks; capacity planning; promote developer engagement; encourage a sustainable pace
- Product Management: Communicate project updates to project owners
- Process: Follow best practices and continual improvements for Agile Project Management
Required Skills/Experience
- Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle.
- Expert knowledge of Agile project management practices
- PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent preferred
- Experience overseeing projects with at least 10 team members including developers, quality engineers, localization, user experience, and product managers.
- Excellent organization skills, ability to work across many teams.
- Thorough understanding of JIRA.
- 2 years’ experience in delivering Agile software solutions.
- BA/BS in related degree or equivalent experience
- Proven record using Agile methods to deliver software solutions
- Excellent oral and written communication
