ABOUT THE ROLE
The Demand Planner at Genexa will be responsible for maintaining the sales (demand) forecast for our growing retail and eCommerce business and ensuring that it translates into an adequate supply of product, across existing items and new innovation items. This role will facilitate our Sales and Operations Planning meetings, and highlight risks and opportunities in the demand plan. The Demand Planner maintains and reports on key performing indicators related to POS sales and corresponding retailer shipments, supply planning, forecasting and inventory. The Demand Planner also maintains exceptional cross-functional communication with sales, operations, finance, and marketing teams, and demonstrate a mindset of continuous improvement.
The Demand Planner will be joining our dynamic and innovative team at our Atlanta, GA headquarters and reporting to the Director of Supply Chain and Demand Planning. YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
The essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

Lead the creation and maintenance of the demand forecast and ensure that the sales forecast translates into an adequate supply of product.

Regularly communicate cross-functionally on demand forecast, production plans and material requirements.

Translate sales forecast into required inventory and production needs.

Successfully communicate forecast and inventory projections to executive leadership team

Lead collaborative planning with internal Sales team and external broker counterparts.

Evaluate consumption and category trends, marketing investments, internal owned inventories, and retail trade inventory positions.

Provide forecast inputs at a base (consensus) level multiple sensitivities and levels (SKU, channel/customer, location, month)

Track forecasts for key promotional and marketing events and new item launches

Lead demand inputs to Innovation / Stage Gate processes

Track and report on KPIs (like forecast accuracy, variances in shipments vs forecast, in stock, fill rate, promo sell-through)

Facilitate S&OP meetings and update supply/demand plan based on velocity trends, seasonality, and distribution channel shifts.

Highlight risks and opportunities in demand plan, using documented assumptions in the plan.

Create a cadence to review and update material master data on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Establish inventory targets.

Review, scrub and analyze the forecast through scrutiny of variances, historical sales trends including rolling averages, year over year data, research of demand drivers, and other customer and market related changes.

Identify opportunities to improve forecast accuracy, streamline work processes, etc. Propose and implement solutions for continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE

Bachelor's degree in Business, or related field

5 years of Supply Chain & Demand Planning experience

APICS Certification preferred

Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) Experience

Hands-on experience with ERP and supply chain management software (NetSuite knowledge preferred), and expertise in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.

Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable partnering with leadership and executive teams.

Ability to think "outside the box" in a fast paced, growth environment with sense of urgency.

Excellent knowledge of demand planning processes with strong attention to detail.
