Lead Developer

We are looking for a Lead Developer to join our team. This position will directly report to the Senior Director of Applications and Data and is responsible for providing solution designs and implementations in collaboration with other key stakeholders.

• Design, recommend, implement, and oversee technical solutions in the following domains: data solutions, application/data integration, applications, enterprise workflow, intranet portal and content management
• Document the current and future states as part of a multi-year roadmap and see that each project considers steps that should be taken to attain longer-term roadmap goals
• Work with multiple vendors to implement and complete projects ensuring implementations are in line with multi-year solution roadmaps as appropriate
• Provide support to Business Relationship Managers and end users as required
• Provide backup support and input to both the data architect and solution architect roles

• Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in MIS or Computer Science but will accept relevant experience to produce the needed outcomes
• 10 years’ experience in solution design, development and implementations
• Strong full stack programming skills
• Familiarity with various development tools and technologies
• Ability to create designs, implement and oversee the implementation of solutions that span data, applications, enterprise workflow and application integration
• Knowledge of Database design, development, web application frameworks and dev-ops
• Able to recommend, oversee and guide contractors to build solutions that not only meet the business requirements at hand but also lead to the fulfilment of a multiyear strategic roadmap
• Able to obtain business requirements and map them to technical designs that achieve functional and non-functional requirements, properly selecting the correct solution components supporting both short term and long-term goals
• Understand how to remediate and avoid technical debt, making sound recommendations on how to architect solutions that are supportable, maintainable and move us forward toward multi-year roadmap objectives
• Experience in managing projects, setting timelines, and ensuring that goals are met
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve technical issues
• Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to lead and inspire a team, manage conflicts, and make strategic decisions.
