OMNI is honored to be retained by Genuen in their search for an experienced Custom Machine Builder to join their team of electricians in Saginaw, Michigan. Genuen is a premier provider of test automation services, test systems and product solutions for global companies in highly regulated industries with an emphasis on military/aerospace, transportation, and commercial avionics applications. Genuen is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company based in Lenexa, KS with offices in New Mexico, Michigan, and Ohio. This position is based in Saginaw, Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Clear understanding of Mechanical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic prints.
- Able to assist and lead assembly builds of machine’s, Position, level and assemble all machine bases per mechanical drawings.
- Mount mechanical components to machine bases. Align and place all machine structures and components per mechanical drawings.
- Mount Pneumatic and hydraulic, actuators and output control devices to machine structure. Pipe all hydraulic and pneumatic components per controls drawing.
- Understanding and ability to custom bend piping, flaring and installing.
- Mount control panels and components. Assist and develop mounting locations for controls components with electricians and engineers.
- Set up machine components. Mechanical assemblers align and adjust all structures and actuators to perform as required by the mechanical drawings. Mechanical assemblers adjust machine to correctly interface with the customer’s part.
- Assist Engineers, in set-up, test, and run-off of equipment.
- Make repairs and changes to machines as required during try out.
- Ability to use Bridgeport Mill, Band Saws and hand tools as needed.
- Tear down completed machines by disassembling and preparing for shipment. Duties can include packing the system for shipment, loading and unloading trucks.
- Must be open with traveling in and outside of State for Machine installations and Service repair when required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5years of related experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in assembling high speed spindles and performing precision alignment of drive trains/motion control systems preferred.
- U.S. Citizenship or permanent resident status required.
- Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the year.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
