As GeoComply’s IT Director, you will use your past experience to lead and guide a global IT team spread across three continents, with a focus on technical expertise and an employee/service centered approach. You will be coming in with exceptional communication skills and a forward-thinking mindset and will spearhead the positioning and development of the department as a true business partner to all stakeholders. As a tech-savvy problem-solver, you thrive on driving efficiency improvements and the optimization of processes and systems.

What You Will Be Doing
- Oversee all Information Technology functions in our company and evaluate them according to established goals
- Evaluate, modify, and create IT policies, systems and procedures to support the implementation of company strategies
- Lead, manage and coach a global IT team to facilitate career growth & professional development, and to elevate the department positioning throughout the company
- Hire and train new team members
- Establish yourself as a strong business partner to all heads of departments to position the IT function as a supportive entity focused on making everyone’s day-to-day simpler by anticipating challenges before they arise
- Meet with internal stakeholders to understand and assess their technology needs and implement relevant processes
- Own the shifting of the positioning of the IT department as a strong business partner focused on people and services
- Oversee all IT assets and infrastructure across multiple global offices.
- Analyze current and past projects and keep track of daily progress of projects in development
- Plan, optimize and oversee the yearly IT budget and negotiate best solutions and fees with vendors for renewals and acquisition of new systems
- Be a partner to Senior leadership by proposing options, solutions and detailed development plans for the department and IT systems
About You
- A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience working in IT, with at least 3 years in a people management and leadership capacity, preferably in a high-growth company
- Excellent communication & presentation skills; You can present ideas in a clear and engaging manner with all stakeholders
- Experience owning an IT budget including purchasing software & hardware, as well as headcount
- Demonstrated experience in scaling systems and processes such as simplifying the provisioning of systems
- Proven leadership experience in managing a distributed IT team of 5 in a fast-paced environment; you thrive on helping team members reach their full potential and on developing a level of comfort towards new concepts and being people/service-focused
- A Customer-focused approach; you believe IT should be a business partner to all departments
- A Cloud-first mindset; you are forward thinking and constantly analyze what can be improved or done more efficiently
- Solid project management, time management and cross-functional coordination skills
- The ability to work on multiple projects in parallel and to establish new processes while streamlining existing priorities
- A strong understanding of security principles and their importance in IT, such as when rolling out systems, you make sure security requirements are met
- A positive outlook and the ability to bring new ideas & get buy in
- A highly adaptable and open-minded nature; you can work together with all types of personalities and cultures
- Experience working with senior leaders and an executive team
- The ability to juggle with three different time zones
