Primary Duties
Manages a team of Campus Lean continuous improvement leaders
Oversees lean initiatives and strategy across all divisions and functions
Plans and manages transformative continuous improvement projects
Trains organization in Lean, 5S, and six sigma and promotes accountability throughout the
organization
Translates performance improvements to financial values that align with corporate goals
Interfaces with customers and vendors, facilitating improvements and process changes across the
company
As requred and assigned
Experience
Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and
experience
Up to 25% travel is required
Experience in Engineering, Operations, and Quality, including team leader
Six Sigma Certification (Black Belt Preferred)
Experience leading Lean Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, process Flow Mapping, and overall
company culture change
PC literate with experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Access and Excel
Essential Skills
By nature this role confronts and solves problems primarily related to processes
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports, technical procedures, or governmental
regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and
co-workers
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where
only limited standardization exists
Ability to generate quality outputs in a timely manner with limited supervision
Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and
arms, and talk. The employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee
must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is regularly exposed to ambient
lighting and temperate climate conditions.
