Role: Geospatial Analyst – Jacksonville, FL
Role Summary: The Geospatial Analyst is responsible for day-to-day onsite implementation of GIS for the Navy. The role provides direct customer support to a variety of business lines. This involves needs assessment & workflow analysis, data development, business process migration, analysis / map production and training users on geospatial concepts, software and data collection.
Candidates must be able to obtain a secret security clearance and proof of U.S. Citizenship is required.
Essential Functions:
- Evaluate existing data and processes and develop action plans for migration to an enterprise GIS
- Provide technical oversight and develop standards for business line activities integrating with the enterprise GIS
- Troubleshoot errors within ArcGIS and the enterprise GIS environment
- Train users on the use and adoption of GIS technologies, including Esri ArcGIS, Citrix and GPS
- Assist in defining data, business process and/or system requirements
- Create standardized mapping and data products and facilitate end-user consumption

Experience Required:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Geography/GIS, Science, Engineering or related field*
- 1+ years technical experience with ArcGIS**
- Knowledge of cartographic procedures and experience generating maps
- Experience creating and editing geodatabases and metadata
- Experience with data modeling and geodatabase design
- Experience with data collection technologies and processes

Ideal (in addition to required experience):
- 3+ years technical experience with ArcGIS
- Existing DoD Clearance
- GISP preferred
- 1+ year GIS implementation and/or project management experience
- Understanding of cadastral data and/or survey field collection
- Working knowledge of Navy IGI&S program and technology
- Working knowledge of Utility and Energy data and workflows
- Enterprise geodatabase and SDE experience
- Model Builder/Python experience
- Knowledge of Federal data standards including FGDC and SDSFIE
- Business process modeling experience
Work Environment:
- Offices at a military installation in Jacksonville, FL
- Travel up to 25% of the time
