SUMMARY:
At Geoprobe®/DRILLMAX® we rely on our IT systems to power the solutions that help our team and our customers. We are seeking an experienced IT Manager who can lead us on this journey using his or her technological and soft skills to make us more efficient. In this role you will analyze our current systems and assets, recommend and implement solutions and upgrades, and provide training. Our ideal candidate has hands-on knowledge with software development toolsets such as Visual Studio, knowledge of the software development life cycle, project coordination, experience managing staff, and industry knowledge to keep us on the cutting edge. Outward Mindset and a Customer Service Focus; exemplifying the fact that IT is a tool to serve both internal and external customers. The IT Manager position is based on-site in Salina, Kansas, and supports two out-of-state locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise a small but dynamic IT team consisting of Systems Administration, Software Development, and SAP
Analysts by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee IT projects, for all areas of responsibility, from inception to completion, including research, planning, and implementation. Manages all aspects of the project including materials, personnel, and scheduling.
- Establish effective communication channels to provide visibility into prioritization and progress on projects
- Create a service-oriented culture with a focus on empowering the business and its employees to do their jobs efficiently and conveniently while enhancing collaboration across the organization.
- Enhance communications reach to employees, improving their connection and collaboration within the organization.
- Lead point of contact for troubleshooting companywide IT issues, resolving software and systems issues, and making recommendations on areas of process improvements to executive leadership.
- Discuss potential projects and their parameters with clients, executives, and software developers.
- Implement and develop software and enhancements alongside your team members.
- Assist with launching new facilities and operations technology and keep abreast of innovative technology and look for ways to upgrade the organization’s systems in line with company objectives.
- Responsible for purchase of all IT related equipment, including network gear, software, computers, phones, and A/V software.
- Manages inventory of software licenses, software, hardware, and other IT supplies. Oversees the administration and maintenance of hardware and software application systems.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related fields preferrable.
- Demonstrated experience in IT management and leadership role.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills (written, oral, listening, influencing, coaching, strategic planning.)
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- 2 or more years’ experience managing and developing a team of Software Engineers or Developers.
- Strong background in planning out the blueprints for software projects, including defining the scope, setting deadlines, laying out communication strategies, and indicating tests and maintenance.
- Well versed with object oriented programming language paradigms.
- Experience with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps and Git.
- Hands-on knowledge with software development toolsets such as Visual Studio.
- Understanding of and adherence to secure coding techniques, coding standards and best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Experience as the expert on a development team, where you were responsible for everything from planning to delivering key features and management of those features.
BONUS
- Experience with leading ERP implementations for manufacturing sites (preferably SAP).
- 5 years of experience working in a full-stack environment.
- 2-5 years with SQL and transactional databases.
- Experience with Cloud Foundry, C#, and Javascript (Vue.js)
