Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated individuals with experience as a Teacher/educator/child care provider, to join our after school program for grades 3rd-8th, at the George Washington Carver Community Center, located at 249 Jacoby Street, Norristown, PA 19401. Our program is Monday- Thursday from 3 pm- 6 pm and for the duration of October 2024 - May 22, 2025. The ideal candidate will be passionate about tutoring and assisting students with homework assistance while followIng the GWCCC'S After School Agenda consisting of reading, writing, and financial literacy. Educators will be required to offer assistance with nurturing students, creating a positive learning environment, and building positive relationships.

Duties
- Help students with homework
- Provide effective strategies to help students with homework
- Be able to follow the GWCCC'S Schedule consisting of; homework and reading, writing, and financial literacy.
- Assess student progress and provide data to track his or her progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administrators to support student development

Requirements
- Experience working with children.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles
- Background in childcare, preschool, or daycare settings is a plus
- Clean background and able to work with children

Job Types: Part-time, Internship

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 per week
