Job Description Summary: | Established in 1865, The George Washington University Law School is the oldest law school in Washington, DC. The school is accredited by the American Bar Association and is a charter member of the Association of American Law Schools. The law school is located on the GW campus in the downtown neighborhood familiarly known as Foggy Bottom. The purpose of this role is to provide coordination and administrative support for the Law School's Field Placement Program. The purpose of this role is to provide coordination and administrative support for the Law School's Field Placement Program. This includes managing student outreach and assisting with the office's web content and social media. This role will serve as an initial point of contact for the Field Placement Program, which is one of the largest legal externship programs in the entire. country. This role will answer program questions and meet with, current and prospective students, student groups, other offices, program faculty, and current and prospective employers. This role will also market the program, advise about program requirements and deadlines, and provide functional support for the program and corequisite course instruction. Functional support could include program registration, corequisite course registration, processing forms, student and employer outreach, managing web presence, marketing, drafting program materials, participating in the planning and execution of events and orientation (including oral presentations), reserving rooms, tracking spending and processing payments, data management, preparing and analyzing reports, responding to routine and complex inquiries, and similar duties. This position may make recommendations regarding program policies and procedures. Although this position does not typically have direct reports, the incumbent may schedule, train and supervise temporary staff or student workers, as needed. Duties and responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications: | Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 3 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
