The Office of Inspector General, Compliance and Audit Unit is seeking an Auditor Supervisor.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced-level and/or professional internal auditing work.
- Manage/conduct performance, operational, financial or compliance audit projects
- Provide input to development of annual internal audit projects/schedule
- Schedule assigned audits/communicate with auditee about conducting the assigned audits
- Develop audit objectives, plan the audit and determine scope of assigned audit
- Interface with personnel throughout the organization to accomplish assigned audits
- Develop audit programs for assigned audits and discuss with Deputy Inspector General
- Pursue professional development opportunities in the Internal Audit Profession
Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Three years of related experience, One year of which in a supervisory position OR Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Five years of related experience, Two years of which in a supervisory position OR Associate's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Six years of experience, Two years of which in a supervisory position related to the area of assignment OR Two years of experience required at the lower level Compliance Specialist 3 (RCP062) or a position equivalent. Note: Some positions may require a certification or licensure. Note: Some positions may require a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Accounting or Business-related degree
- Strong governmental accounting and auditing skills
- Ability to work successfully independently or as a part of a team
- Good interpersonal skills
- 4 years of internal auditing experience (compliance, operational, financial, governmental)
Position may be filled at lower level, depending on experience and qualifications.
Current Georgia state government employees will be subject to SPB rule provisions.
