What are the responsibilities and job description for the Reliability Centered Lubrication Tech position at Georgia-Pacific?
What You Will Do
- Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures and actively participate in safety program
- Tracking lube consumption and identifying opportunities to reduce waste
- Maintaining proper storage and inventory of all lubricants, including upkeep of storage location
- Assisting Maintenance and Production personnel in the determination of effective grease, oil, and hydraulic fluid application methods (including automated delivery) that are least intrusive and most effective for all machinery on the plant site
- Participating in the development of Preventative Maintenance (PM) and parts replacement scheduling based upon visual inspection of equipment while performing lubrication task
- Coordinating the mill lubrication sample program for both in-house and laboratory testing
- Coordinating lubrication activities for plant outages and down time
- Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- At least one (1) year manufacturing experience or have done comparable work in a comparable work environment that includes but is not limited to: farming, agriculture, landscaping, carpentry, mechanical, construction, etc.
- Willing and able to work any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed
What Will Put You Ahead
- Two (2) years or more of mechanical maintenance experience within an Industrial, Military or Manufacturing environment
- Experience troubleshooting & repairing hydraulics & pneumatics
- Associate/Technical degree or higher in an industrial, manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, engineering, or another manufacturing field
- Certified as a Lubrication Specialist (CLS), Oil Monitoring Analyst (OMA),OR- Machinery Lubrication Technician (MLT)
- Experience with CMMS systems (e.g.: SAP, Indus, Maximo)
- Experience working in the Lumber/Wood Products industry
- Knowledge and/or experience in Vibration Analysis, Lubrication/Oil Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, Equipment Strategies, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Precision Maintenance, and/or Infrared Thermography
