The Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) is seeking qualified candidates for: Position Title: Driver Examiner 1 Status: Full-Time Salary: $32,000 /annually (non-negotiable)

Job Summary: As a Driver Examiner 1 for DDS, you will help make everyday life possible for thousands of State of Georgia residents. The successful candidate in this role can make a positive impact on the lives of their customers that walk in whether it's by issuing learners permit to teens, welcoming newcomers by converting out-of-state licenses, awarding driver licenses to first-time drivers by administering examinations or issuing identity cards in compliance with state laws and regulations. The focus of this position is working with and through others within established guidelines. The ability to interact comfortably with a diverse population is important. The successful candidate in this position must be friendly and genuinely interested in helping others. Patience and attention to detail is a major focus of the job, and those details need to be handled quickly, accurately and efficiently.

COMMENTS:
Working Conditions: Road tests are conducted throughout the year in a variety of weather conditions including rain, wind, summer heat and cold winter days. Testing begins in the early morning hours and continues through the early evening hours. The test runs for approximately 30 minutes.
