Position Summary

Sales Professional with experience selling into end users, resellers, service & repair shops. Willing to prospect to establish new customer relationships and nurture, maintain, and expand existing accounts. Be the voice of the customer when communicating to inside team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Call on existing customer accounts to expand business and introduce new products.
  • Explore and open up new markets for company.
  • Become your customer expert in our products.
  • Help inside team develop project-based proposals and effectively communicate customers needs to inside team.
  • Close sales for new and repeat customers.
  • Meet and exceed revenue goals established for territory.
  • Coordinate special marketing campaigns.
  • Review open orders, forecast, and other performance metrics with sales manager.
  • Develop sales presentations to introduce service, products, and value propositions to customer.

Education and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s (preferred or strong industrial sales experience)
  • 3 years outside industrial sales (valves & actuators, pumps, compressors, gearboxes, electrical components are all relevant to the position)

Competencies

  • Basic knowledge of torque, electrical components, and mechanical components.
  • Sales in power generation highly desired.
  • Other large industrial markets are relevant (Metals, mining, and Tire & Rubber)

Travel: 60-70 % in established territory

Physical Demands: Must be able to climb stairwell, walk through narrow passages, across catwalks in industrial environments. Comfortable driving long distances

Work Environment: Office, service shop floors, Inside / outside in hot & cold environments, large industrial complexes.
