Key Responsibilities
- Leverage data science methodologies to combat fraud in consumer-facing SaaS applications, tackling critical inquiries that influence fraud risk management decisions.
- Develop and execute sophisticated analytics models aimed at fraud detection using machine learning and advanced statistical techniques.
- Analyze substantial volumes of transactional data to identify anomalies and trends indicative of fraudulent behavior.
- Create and implement real-time fraud monitoring systems to detect suspicious activities promptly.
- Establish processes for ongoing evaluation and enhancement of model performance.
- Collaborate with Compliance and Security teams to foster data-driven decision-making.
- Generate essential performance metrics for fraud protection to present to operational risk teams and senior leadership.
- Design and refine algorithms for pattern recognition and matching using cutting-edge methodologies.
- Work alongside business and risk teams to refine risk metrics, assessment methodologies, and key performance indicators, assessing the overall risk landscape.
- Conduct holistic evaluations of fraud cases to pinpoint potential improvements.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to internal stakeholders on analytical findings and proposed solutions.
- Translate business needs into analytic projects in partnership with internal stakeholders.
- Lead projects from conception to execution.
- Stay abreast of current trends, regulations, and challenges within the Fraud/Risk domain.
- Compile and analyze data from academic journals, industry reports, and market sources to maintain an up-to-date knowledge base.
- Contribute to the overall Insights strategy.
- Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
- 7-10 years of experience in Data Science, Statistics, or related fields.
- Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science.
- Specialization in Fraud Analytics with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and R.
- Familiarity with Docker Containers is advantageous.
- Strong analytical capabilities with a proactive mindset.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong commitment to deadlines.
- A focus on accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word (including mail merge), and Outlook.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Strong collaboration skills and a willingness to learn and quickly apply new concepts.
- Experience with Salesforce CRM is preferred.
