STAFFING COORDINATOR
Get Plated Catering is a luxury catering company serving the Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland area. We are currently seeking a part-time candidate to support our growing sales team in our Alexandria, VA office. A successful candidate for this position will have experience and knowledge scheduling staff for events with the right skillset while building and cultivating relationships with our staff pool, anticipating staffing needs, and finding resolutions for staffing issues. This position is in a fast-paced environment with. We are looking for a self-starter, highly motivated, organized person to add to our growing team. Must be available for evening and weekend shifts.
Primary responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
● Schedule staff appropriately for all events
● Recruit, interview, and hire event staff to work directly for Get Plated
● Assure New Hire paperwork is complete and accurate prior to start date
● When necessary, participate in write ups and other corrective communication
● Maintain a constant pool of resources for seasonal and new party staff at all times
● Proactively review upcoming events in order to make appropriate staffing adjustments
● Constant communication with sales staff about event needs, such as level of difficulty, issues, guest counts, location, time changes, etc.
● Develop and maintain relationships with various staffing agencies and placing and monitoring employment ads when needed
● Weekly meetings with the Sales, Logistics, and Culinary teams to discuss hiring needs, personnel issues and event ratio issues

● Strong organizational skills and desire to learn catering sales
● Strong computer and social media skills
● General computer proficiency & ability to quickly learn our internal programs (Knowledge of Nowsta is a plus!)
Education and Experience
● High School diploma or GED required
● 2 years’ experience scheduling catering event staff
● Experience in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple priorities
● Experience in catering industry
