Job Overview

Responsible for the planning, procurement and management of raw material to ensure Manufacturing commitments are achieved while aligning inventory with Plant objectives. Represents the company professionally and ethically as a purchasing agent. Participate in bringing new vendors on board and on project initiatives for cost reductions.

• Job Responsibilities
• Evaluate MRP to procure and schedule raw materials and OEM product in accordance with procedures.
• Provide timely and appropriate material availability information to internal customers.
• Establish and maintain supplier relationships, taking corrective action as appropriate
• Align inventory with plant objectives and targets to ensure inventory targets are achieved.
• Participate in projects, continuous improvement initiatives and new product introductions as assigned.
• Maintain SAP parameters to ensure data integrity.
• Review, approve and co-ordinate Change Requests as required.
• Resolve receiving discrepancies, invoices and supplier returns in a timely and complete manner.
• Work closely with internal customers to communicate, follow up and help with issues relating to purchased goods and services.
• Evaluate/source new suppliers and materials to support new/revised product initiatives.
• Develop purchasing agreements with key suppliers.
• Evaluate and manage the supply risk of raw materials.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business management or other related field and/or combination of education and related experience is required. APICS or ISM Certification ideal.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, materials management, production planning, or other related activities. Experience in medical device or other regulated industry (GMP's and ISO 9000) is preferred

Salary range: $78k - $90k
